Jello Play Dough

Watermelon Glitter Jell-O Playdough
Ingredients:
1 (3-oz.) package watermelon or any flavor jello
2 cups flour
2 cups boiling water
1 cup salt
4 TBS cream of tartar
2 TBS oil
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients in a saucepan then add the oil and the boiling water. Stir continuously over medium heat until dough forms into a ball. Remove from heat, knead. Store in an airtight container.
Tips:
If playdough is too sticky, just knead in more flour.
Always store in an airtight container or plastic bag.
Refrigerate until needed, unless noted otherwise.

I have heard of making playdoh out of flour and salt but never out of Jello. After they make whatever they are going to make with the dough, you can put it in the oven at 200 for about 1 hour and then they can have it forever!

And smelling like watermelon the kids don't eat it? ;o) I used to make huge amounts of home made playdough for the boys. Just the flour, mineral oil and salt variety with food coloring. It's so much nicer than the store stuff and so cheap! I love this idea...will try it someday when the grandbaby is old enough. ;o)
