Welcome to Tiffin Time Thursday. I love these Tiffin Food containers. Perfect for packing a picnic in the summer. And great for the pool, we used ours at our pool today. Each Thursday I am going to post different recipes and ideas to use with your Tiffins. And stay tuned, because I am also going to be hosting a Tiffin Giveaway!

This is our Tiffin that we got at Target. It was $19.95.

Here's a recipe I'm going to try for next weeks Box.

Here are some good links for recipes for your Tiffin.
Here's a link for a cookbook, that has nothing but tiffin recipes, I so want this!
I thought this was such a cool pic of a guy delivering Tiffin Lunches in India.

Butter Ya'll !!!!

I saw this a few weeks ago and really wanted to try it. It is so easy and really fun for the kids. At first my 9 year old did NOT want to do this until He started seeing the cream change into butter and then He was amazed!

Shake your way to fresh butter and buttermilk.
Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

Heavy cream
A Jar with a lid ( we used baby food jars, it was perfect for lil hands)
Preparation:

1. Fill a jar halfway with heavy cream and screw the lid on tight.

2. Shake the jar up and down until the cream thickens and begins to stick together.

3. Then, open the jar, and pour any remaining liquid into another container; this is the buttermilk. Everything else is butter.

4. Knead the butter under cold running water for several minutes to work out any remaining buttermilk (otherwise the butter will spoil quickly).

5. Knead in salt, if desired.

6. Refrigerate.

Homemade Organic Peanut Butter Granola Bars

If your kids are like mine, they go through alot of granola bars. I decided to find a good granola bar recipe, and that's exactly what I did! These are amazing. You don't have to make them organic, but it is so much better:) Also this recipe could be easily messed with to make lots of yummy combos.

Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Ingredients:

2 cups granola ( I used archers farm vanilla organic granola)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:

In a bowl, mix together the honey and peanut butter until smooth. Add the granola and mix until well coated. Pat into a 8X8 greased pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Place in a 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Smooth out chocolate over the top of the granola. Chill until set. Cut into squares

Quick, easy and wonderful.
